Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), an insect that kills ash trees, has
killed and forced removal of millions of ash trees since it was
first discovered in Michigan in 2002. It was first identified in
NY in 2009 and has since been found in 7 counties and in
Mallorytown, Ontario (less then 5 miles from St. Lawrence County).
With the discovery of EAB in NY, it’s inevitable that ash trees in
Northern New York will be affected. Left untreated, infected ash
trees will die. Fortunately, there are treatments that will
protect and save infected trees.

equipped with automated calibration adjustment and GPS software,
ensuring efficient and effective production. We also have

Our professional staff at Miller’s Turf draws upon over 30 years
of practical experience in the turf grass industry. Whether you
are responsible for public school grounds, a private university
stadium, or a youth sports program, we can work with you to
develop a turf grass program to meet your requirements. Our
membership and involvement with the Sports Turf Management
Association, New York Chapter (STMONY), ensures that we are
constantly utilizing the leading edge products and technologies.
Our unique, industry specific equipment allows us to treat up to
43,560 square feet per hour, or to “spot treat” a 100 square foot
problem area in accordance with IPM monitoring. We can supply and
apply synthetic or organic based products to fertilize, control
pests, or amend your existing soil. Miller’s Turf also has custom
seed and fertilizer mixes available for overseeding, renovating,
or installing a new field. We would also be happy to provide any
consultation services you may be interested in. We will work with
you to ensure our mutual goal of providing a safe, durable, and
aesthetically pleasing athletic field.

reach areas, problem spots, steep bunker faces, tee boxes, and
greens. Our considerable experience on golf courses allows us to
perform our work with proper respect for the golf course and
proper etiquette for the game and its devotees.
